Foundation horsemanship. Learn the basics of groundwork, use of the round pen, the flag, rope, tarps and slickers. A must have experience for anyone interested in learning the buckaroo/vaquero style of horsemanship.
A study of the Buckaroo/Vaquero style of Horsemanship, what the NATURAL HORSEMANSHIP movement is based on is what you will find in the Horsemanship classes. A wonderful cross training experience for all disciplines and levels of horses and riders.
Colt Starting is an opportunity to start your colt or re-start a troubled horse. Be prepared to be part of a special learning experience for both horse and owner. Colts will be saddled and ridden with the highest level of quality and be ready to start a job by day four.
Cow Working and Ranch Roping These classes are a natural extension of horsemanship. The focus is on the Californio style of Horsemanship which has a close kinship with classical dressage. Learning how to handle a herd highlights the real world application of horsemanship. In Ranch Roping, students will be learning to build a loop, throw basic shots, move a cow, handle a herd and build confidence.
